Geopolitics is a murky field of human endeavor. Too often, our allies are on the shaky grounds of morality and ethics. And then, of course, we are not exactly walking on the high road.

My ultimate solution is a build a new democracy. I believe it will clean up a lot of the murk.

Until then, geopolitical decisions still have to be made. Leaving the Ukrainians to be conquered by the Russians might sound like a good do-nothing decision because the Ukrainians are not-so-good, but it is still a decision.

There would have been ramifications if we had taken that decision. And these ramifications may still happen; this drama is not over.
