Going downhill is probably not in the cards for Alberta. There still is a 50-year process for the world to phase out the petroleum industry. Alberta is in a good position to cash-cow that resource. Other industries will replace it.

Alberta has often been the driving of the Canadian economy, attracting workers from all over Canada. Now, it will just be ordinary. Which is OK.
