Having an engineering degree, the use of logs and exponents comes quite natural to me. They are very interesting mathematical functions.

I can see usages in several government functions, like determining the amount of the benefit of a social program.

But the general public has little understanding of this function, so putting it into a benefit calculation would lose their trust.

We need some lessons on logarithms for the general public.
