In recent history, Canada made reparations with both Chinese and Japanese groups seeking grievances for historical wrongs. It seemed to have worked for these social festers don't seem to be there anymore there.

We have gone a little ways with our First Nations people with reparations (in terms of forced childhood separation from family and communinty). Part of the problem is a suitable settlement with each native group having specific grievances. I think we have over 700 different groups to deal with.

As for the martial law, I should have a Medium article up in the next few days. The more we find out about this protest, the more it seems very well organized. THe insurgents were just pawns.
