For 2022, I will earn about $200 on Medium, which is four times my annual fee. For this lowly writer, I have to wonder how Medium can stay solvent.

I suspect that the psychologists at Medium have deemed the writers that will help them attract new subscription fees. This writers get an advantage--and a paycheck that justifies the time they spend writing Medium articles. There is a symbiotic relationship between Medium and its top writers.

While Medium has a higher intellect than other forums I have been on, it too suffers from a short attention span. Going more intellectual just might be a bad financial decision.

Anyways, I'm writing more for fun and catharsis. And I have learned some new useful things. I will be sticking around for another year.

This particular article has got more attention than normal. It is not pulling the numbers up for my other recent articles. So maybe I'm on my 15 minutes of Medium fame.
