I took a quick look at your VA website. I like the civil approach you take to framing issues. But unfortunately, the masses are not ready for that kind of discussion.

Before Medium, I was on a forum called DebatePolitics. Lots of rightees and leftees pecking at each other. But there were also some nuggets of great knowledge and perspectives.

I have to be careful with time on political forums. I'm already spending too much time on Medium--with very little to show for it. I could put something on your website, but it doesn't look like much traffic is coming to it.

Not that I'm blaming Medium. What I'm seeing here (for the TDG) is similar to what I've seen elsewhere in political forums.

I read Fritof Capra's "Turning Point" about 20 years ago. The main premise is that all sorts of scientific and humanistic models have been adopted by experts. And these models are eventually discared for better models. Yet Dr. Capra more or less conjectures that western democracy the highest form of governance humanity can invent. We will carry this form forwards for centuries with only minor modifications.
