Here is my review of Klein's work:
https://medium.com/politically-speaking/book-review-the-shock-doctrine-524e171b782b
At the end of this book, Klein gives several examples of how people are resisting the Shock Doctrine. But those examples were from 2007. Have we really changed for better in the past 15 years?
This was a popular book. If its intent was to effect positive change, it seems to be lacking.
In the past three years, I have read many Medium articles about how voting, protesting, and discourse can change the world. And yet the neoliberals are still running the show.
It is time to realize that western democracy is not working for us. It is time for a new way.
