Here is the paradox I am seeing. Let's assume the 58% figure is correct (Americans who believe democracy is backsliding).

Then it stands to reason that some of them just might be interested in hearing about a new kind of democracy.

I've been working on this new democracy for 23 years. I'm still an echo chamber of one.

In the last three years, I have talked to probably 1000 people concerned about the state of democracy. Nearly all cannot invest three hours to read my book. All seem to see little sense in spending 10 hours a month to build this new democracy. And yet they can easily spend three hours each week writing and reading anti-Trump posts on Medium.

I'm not so sure people are that concerned.
