Here my 'ology:

1) There are situations where governments have to leave individuals to their own decisions and consequences of those decisions.

2) There are situations where governments have to work collectively to better society.

3) Deciding between 1 & 2 shall be done with due democratic process.

4) All decisions require monitoring--and changes if they are not working out.
