Here's someone who can look at both sides of the fence.

I went to your 2016 article. This story isn't being recalled in today's left-leaning media. It was OK to influence electors then, but not now. It all depends on which side of the fence one sits on. I guess.

While the connection between the 2016 protesters and today's protesters (albeit from the other) might be a bit loose, we are seeing a ratcheting up of both sides pushing democratic limits. One side pushes here; the other side pushes a little harder next time.

There is also a vague connection between the Democratic Party not being able to take appropriate action against Mr. Clinton in 1998--and Mr. Trump being able to get away with his "pussy grabbing" comments. If Mr. Clinton can seduce young interns in the Oval Office, why not elect Mr. Trump, a known player? The leftees on Medium can't see this connection.

Is Mr. Trump a fascist? Personally, I don't think he is smart enough to be a fascist. He still has at least 100,000 supporters who would be willing to die for his cause, yet he wouldn't use them in that way. Maybe there are some moral scruples in that man, after all.

But there's still more drama until January 21.

I worry about the next populist leader in the USA--who could come from the political left.
