Hey Umair readers

As you and I read another of Umair’s dystopic articles, a few Medium shekels will find their way to Umair’s bank account. Which is good for Umair, I guess. But how is this helping the world? Umair is speaking to his echo chamber. The odds of these articles finding a viewing to those gun-toting protesters in this article’s picture AND convincing them that they need to rethink their political philosophy are very, very, very, very small. Umair gets his shekels, and the world stays the same.

I’ve been reading Umair articles for almost a year. Some of my $50 Medium fee has gone his way. But I’m not seeing any solution from Umair. At best, he recommends Elizabeth Warren for president —so we should support her. But beyond that, I don’t know what he wants us to do. Do you?

You probably know what I want you to do. I want you to get off your ass and start building a new system of democratic governance. Western democracy is broken and it can’t be fixed. Umair has not yet come to this conclusion, but maybe you have. To make the right kind of changes, the TDG needs people who like reading Umair articles AND are willing to put 10 to 20 hours a month to start building this new system.

Reading more Umair articles won’t move the world forward.

Tiered Democratic Governance

BTW, I am not on Medium’s paywall. My book is available for a free read. My second book (hopefully ready by March 1) will also be a free read. So my capitalistic motive is very small. We need to start this social/political movement sooner than later. If it means I never get paid, that is fine by me.
