A well written piece. One of several scenarios that have a high likelihood of happening. But there is no doubt that the USA is going to go backwards for a spell. Those who still believe they can vote their way out of the mess are fools.

But even under your scenario, the TDG can still be built. When the dust eventually settles, hopefully the TDG will at least half-ready to assume the responsibilities for governance.
