I agree. The Manitoba experiment was still far away from a UBI. So too were the trials in Finland. So too are these current trials.
It's been a while since I've read the Manitoba/Finland studies. While it seemed that those recipients had a less stressful life, most of them were content to not to progress. They did not find part-time work, to give them some disposable income.
I suspect that these current studies will find most of the recipients will be able to put themselves in a better position to collect social assistance. They will not find work. But more time is needed. Not much, though, $7500 won't last long, even if one does not have an addiction.
