I am 61 years old and been an observer of American politics for a long time. It is my belief that "bartering" and "compromise" are being replaced by partisanship in the past two decades. This trend started with the D's being unable to convict Mr. Clinton with his impeachment for lying under oath.

If you want a new order, the protest movement is unlikely to provide the result your are looking for. While I believe the current protests will have some reform, the changes will be far from where we need to go. There will be more protests.

Rather than believing activism is the answer, why not consider a different way to govern.
