I am finding this trend rather fascinating to watch.

Outwardly, it seems strange that low-wage workers are refusing to work even though they still need to make an income. Inwardly, I wonder if many workers have made an adjustment to their personal lives such that they don't have the high rental overhead any more. Or maybe there is more black market activity happening.

Something is happening that these people don't need the crappy job as much as they used to. While the right-wing claims too much social assistance, I think there's a lot more to this issue.
