I am new to Medium. I’m finding it a rather interesting forum. I think I’ve put up 10 articles and 9 have gone nowhere (so far). One was recommended to a “publication”, but I’m not quite sure what that is. Maybe it will go bigger on that publication. I’ve got about another 40 articles to put up.

I have been working on about 15 forums in the past two years. In these other forums, most of my articles would often get to the front page. I would get a fair response. But in time, the algorithms pushed the article off the front page, regardless of the length of the comment thread. It seems something must be earned on Medium before one gets attention. And it seems, articles here have a much longer shelf life. I often find interesting articles written two years ago.

Regardless of whether I get some recognition on Medium, I enjoy the reads here. I’ve learned quite a few new things in my six weeks; something that was lacking in those other forums.
