I can safely say, that in the past 23 years, I have talked to at least 1,000 people who are frustrated with the results of western democracy. Yet they cannot read my book.
Here is my summary of these people:
One thing that is so amazing is how well the current system has inculcated into the citizenry not to inspect something like the TDG.
About two years ago, events kind of allowed me to attend a conference of rural mental health practitioners, something not really in line with my current occupation. There I encountered a lot of doers, people trying to make their community a better place. I bet these people do not spend much time on internet forums. How do I reach them without bankrupting my family? Attending such conferences is out of line with my lower middle class income. So, unfortunately, internet forums are my only practical option for promoting the TDG idea.
I quit telling family, friends, and local acquaintances about my project. I got tired of seeing eyeballs roll back into their heads.
I just printed off ten copies of my new book, and I will send them off to various organizations and celebrities. I have done this before to absolutely no effect. The TDG is more ready for just one influencer to put the word out. But I'm not holding my breath.
And it would be more organic for ordinary people to put the word out.
Canada and the USA had a mutual agreement to close down the borders to most traffic. Commercial truckers are allowed through, but that is about it.
Mr. Trump had musings about re-opening the border, but he quickly backed off. It would be silly for Canada to allow Americans in. Or have Canadians make a trip south.
At one time, my home town had the most per-capita Covid cases in Canada (10%). People were scared, but now we seem to be close to zero. And 90% of the people are not wearing face masks when they go out in public. Sad. Such a minor inconvenience for such a great disease prevention tool. It sure speaks to our collective, selfish psyche.
