I can’t argue with much of what you are saying here. We should use the “extra payment” clause in our mortgage agreements more often.

But the problem is finding that extra cash. Many of us can’t. Some of us who can’t are in this position because of silly ways we spend money. But others of us are struggling: there is not much wiggle room to find that $100 a month.
