I can't comment wisely on the Federalist Society. But, according to your response, it seems that they have a long term plan and will patiently carry it out, waiting for the right conditions to appear.

The IMF and petroleum industry operate in a similar fashion. Long term, patient, and have a plan ready to go.

This shows that long-term plans are possible. The question is whether these plans are good for most of us OR just a few of us.
