I can't confirm or deny your story. I know that corruption cannot be reduced in a short time. I would not be surprised that Mr. Zelenskyy had to cater to a few Ukrainian oligarchs to gain his political position. It is complex balancing act.

Rather, we need a new system of democratic government where big money has little influence in elections or the holders of authority and responsibility. The "gift" of western democracy to Ukraine did not work. We westerners question whether western democracy is working for us. Thirty percent of American would prefer a one-party rule than a democracy.
