I can't recall how much the Canadian government paid these three groups. It certainly wasn't $1.5m per person.

But I do recall how these three groups pushed for years to get some justice. They were often in the media telling their story. Then with the formal apology and a small reparation, they were no longer in the media.

There are lessons to learn. We need to help people move on.
