I caught John's article and didn't agree with some of it. Then your rebutal came along. Kind of a coincidence that I got both artices in my feeds. We need more back-and-forth dialogue like this. It would build a more vibrant community.

It is interesting watching documentaries from PBS. Sometimes the metric units are used; sometimes the US units are used. The USA is slowly being pulled in this direction.

Canada is about 75% metrified. I think it's going to be hard to move the construction industry fully to metric.
