There is a much bigger "supply" of writers than the the "demand" for their work. Very few of us will finincially succeed.

Despite my meagre readership, I will earn two or three times my annual subscprition fee. THe Medium business matrix makes little sense to me. How can they afford to pay all the plebe writers?

I think we are being subsidized.
