I don't have much use for guns, myself. But I had a little friendship with an Austrian fellow who was a certified gunsmith. He showed me a few of his pistols. Lots of interesting mechanisms inside those things. I can see why some people are interested in firearms.

I have agree with Mr. Corlis' response that the average person is not trained enough to handle an firearm in an emergency situation. Real soldiers spend weeks getting this training for many different situations. Then they have refresher courses to keep the skills up.

If the USA does end up in some kind of civil war, the life expectancy of people like Rittenhouse won't be very high.
