I don't subscribe to anyone on Medium. My email box is already too complicated.

Having said that, I still get 3-4 emails from Medium about article I might be interested in. I didn't ask for this service.

My feed is OK on some days. Kind of bland on other days. I maybe scroll down about 20 spots before deciding to do something other than Medium. But I'm following 300 writers. It's hard for them to earn one of those 20 spots. You got lucky to be on my feed today.

Man-o-man, that last sentence sure could be taken the wrong way. You know what I mean. I think?

I do not follow top writers (except Benjamen Sledge). I do not click on their work. I believe Medium gives them an unfair advantage. Yet maybe 10% of my feed is of the top writers.

Most of the articles I read come from writers having similar traction as I have. There are a whole whack of us! We are not alone.
