I don't think Medium has found its business matrix yet; i.e. it is not making breaking even. My idea is worth trying out.

I notice many frustrated not-so-top writers. To them (and I would be part of them), the algorthims are favoring these writers. You might have read this article of mine where I suggest writers promote fellow fellows. If you have, then other people might see it:

I also notice that there is a high turnover of writers on Medium. Most articles I read have fewer followers than I. And I am only at 1.3 k. Medium needs to figure out how to retain those writers.
