I got 12 years in the Canadian oilpatch. By law, all workers have to wear hardhats. Probably once a month, I got a bump on the head with a piece of steel that we could laugh off because of the hard hat.
Hard hats are more difficult to wear than facemasks.
About once a year, I had to put H2S masks. Now that was a pain in the ass.
I would estimate that a third of my oilpatch colleagues, if given the freedom, would not wear hardhats on the jobsite.
Neckties are just as annoying as face masks.
For women, wearing a bra much be more annoying than a face mask.
Too many fools.
