I got the impression that most hospitals in Canada were not overworked. But there were hotspots in Vancouver and Toronto. Many elective surgeries got cancelled, including cancer treatments.
I live in a town of 15,000. We had an outbreak of at least 1,100 with Covid-19. Only two people died; the hospital was not swamped. The local meat packing plant had to shut down for a couple of weeks, mostly because too many workers were sick.
I still wear a mask when going out. Not much sense in infecting others if I have the disease. But most people are not doing this.
