I have a little perspective on the “two worlds.”

In the mockumentary TV series “Trailor Park Boys”, Julian, Ricky, and Bubbles are three losers in life. Unemployment, petty crime, alcohol, dope, and jail are a normal part of their lives.

In the Christmas special, they are invited to a local church to partake in the Christmas celebration and spirit. They show up drunk; they get disruptive, and police have to be called in. This scene was very profound to me because the two worlds in this episode just don’t mesh very well. All the wishful thinking of the churchgoers cannot “save” the trailor park boys from their own destruction. The churchgoers cannot bring the boys into their community.

I think we have a lot of worlds that don’t fit together.
