I have a son who just didn't like the academic part of school. Reading and math-----Pah!

I quit pushing in Grade 10. He does his own thing in school--and is not doing well academically.

Yet I sometimes see him solving life problems that require basic reading and math. Maybe my efforts were not in vain.
