I have to agree with everything you said here. We should be thankful for the opportunity.

I don't get much traction on Medium, but I can't blame Medium. My out-of-the box ideas have had enough exposure here--and Medium contributors don't want to hear about them. It is time for me to move on.

The investors behind Medium have put in millions of dollars to develop this software and store all those articles somewhere. They are the ones who need to figure out the business matrix to at least pay all the bills.

BTW, the math just does not add up for every Medium contributor to get their rent paid. My calculations say a contributor needs to bring in 190 new subscribers (with their $50 annual fees) a year to make the rent.
