I have to commend you on responding on all the comments on this thread. While it may entice more loyalty out of your loyal readers, it takes time away from other writing other articles.

In my first year of Medium, one of the get-rich-on-Medium articles said: "Do not read comments. Do not respond to comments. Do not read other articles. Do not respond to those articles." All this takes time away from writing more article yourself.

There is at least one top writer on Medium who follows this formula.
