I have to wonder what would have happened if we had no Sesame Street OR perhaps kids' program that was more real? I really see little wrong with showing the world a workable model. If we can't get a vision of a better world (even as a kid), we won't go there.

When Norman Lear produced his sitcom "All in the Family", one of his goals was to show how silly racism really was. And it worked--for the more liberally minded. But for reactionaries, Archie Bunker made a lot of sense. So the show was attractive for both sides of the political divide.

As an inventor of a particular utopia, I have to show how my utopia can work. If I focus on the 99% who don't want it, then I should quit. But I believe the 1% can change the world.
