Last summer, I was re-acquainted with a work colleague of 30 years ago. As we got to catching up, she found out my nominal Christian heritage of that former time had disappeared altogether. She feigned interest in my reasoning, always coming back to “Jesus died on the cross for your sins and you are turning that sacrifice away.” Over and over and over again.

I took it as challenge to steer her away from the dogma. I was not successful, but it was a little fun for me.
