I kind of doubt this warning is falling on deaf ears. The message is loud and clear--and coming from many people. I'm on Mastodon: clarion after clarion after clarion is giving this warning.

To me, the "deaf ears" are the people who are refusing to investigate a new kind of democracy. This democracy would not elevate someone like Mr. Trump to high political office. But the ears are deaf to this idea.
