I lived in Trnava for a year. I wasn't much of tourist in those days. So I didn't see much of the country.
I made quite a few trips to B'lava. I spent a day in Banska Bystrica as a tourist. I had a girlfriend whose family owned a cottage in the Maly Fatras. Biely Potok was the bus stop. Taught English in Gbely and Stara Tura. A few other quick stops in western Slovakia.
In my home town, there was a wealthy gentleman who donated funds to schools in Ruzomborok, his parents' home town. I helped him with some of his philanthropy. Ludovit' Gazdarica was his name. I think his plaque is on a few places in your town.
