I often feel sorry for politicians. They often find themselves in situations where the right course of action is not always clear — and almost everyone, including political science professors to farm workers socializing at a village coffee shop, have the right idea of what the politician should do. And regardless of the final decision, the politician will be found faulty.

Wouldn’t it be better to have a system of governance where the public allows the elected officials to make the decisions — and the public trusts the politicians that they will be making the better decisions most of the time?
