I often wrestle with "book banning" in schools. My take is that as long as there is a democratic process where parents/teachers are discussing certain books and come to a democratic decision, maybe that is the best approach. The banned books are still available.

In my utopia, various media conveyances of whacky idea just won't be read much. So there is no need to ban them.
