I ran across an article from the Atlantic a while back. It talked about left-leaning people pretending to be conservatives on conservative websites. Their objective was to get these people to think a little differently. They had to employ a lot of psychology to remain credible while changing minds.

To me, these "infiltrators" were doing more to get USA out of its mess than all the left-leaning writers on Medium.
