Of course, I liked the above quote. Whether we like it or not, many of us will not be engaged with politics to the level of the political junkies.

In the TDG, the lowly engaged voters have one job: engage with your neighbors and cast a vote toward the neighbor that best exemplifies good character and capacity for governance. Once a year. After they cast their vote, they can forget about politics and government for another 11.5 months.

Of course, if some people want to engage more, there will be avenues for them.

But the lowly engaged have an important job. Their judgment will be important for the TDG to function well.
