One of Mad images permanently imprinted into my brain cells is an Al Jaffee cartoon. The setting is a retail store. There are two cages: a big cage with a big demon and a small cage with a small demon. An elderly lady is pointing to the smaller cage. A smarmy store clerk is reinforcing her good choice.
The Caption: "Voting is like choosing the lesser of two evils."

I knew Mad resurrected itself circa 2000. But I have not followed up on its recent history.
