I remember your article of a few years ago that went viral-viral-viral. You have taken a rather adventerous political journey.
I recently read an article that the average British person spends an average of seven minutes a day thinking about politics. I'm not sure where they got this figure from, but there is some truth to it. Those of us political junkies (and reformed political junkies) neally need to understand that many people's lives do not revolve around politics.
The more vocal conservatives, who you seem to be associating with, are political junkies. It would be interesting know how many conservatives don't take their politics so seriously. Maybe most are, but maybe not.
As I was reading your article, it brought back memories of my time in a Canadian political party. circa 1990. There were just some things that must be kept unsaid while staying under this umbrella. I too was subject to this form of censorship. Say the wrong things, my influence in the party goes downhill.
If you don't want to vote R and don't want to vote D and still seem to care, may I suggest that you investigate an alternative democracy. Follow my byline.
