I saw a documentary about the wildlife around Chernobyl. It has indeed turned to "Animal Kingdom."

It seems deer, horses, wolves, and bears are not too put off about getting cancer 20 years later. All their gene-passing-down stuff is finished long before that.

As for the people still living there, they must have a natural affinity for minimizing radiation. Maybe the smart people should get this genetic stock enhanced.
