I spent six years in a Canadian political party. Unfortunately, all political candidates and their higher ranking supporters come across situations that require sacrifice of integrity and principle to become elected.

I can’t speak to Ms. Abram’s motivations here. I just don’t know enough. But whatever flaws Mr. Biden may bring to her political career will have to weighed against possible sacrifices for later. One of those sacrifices may be the sun sets quite fast on rising political stars if they don’t make the right moves.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a system where our elected representatives do not have to worry about their political career as they are making their moves and decisions?
