I think America will survive Mr. Trump. American democracy is working the way it should as far as I can see. The Democrats need only convince 10% of the 50% who normally don’t vote to vote to earn a landslide. If they can’t do that, then they have to live with another 4 years of T.

It’s more about the next populist leader, who could come from left. This person would more likely be a lot younger and aspire to long reign. This person might actually understand something about psychology and sociology and have a plan to convince enough Americans that they are better off in an oligarchy.
