I think more can be done with pubs. The pub owners need to build their brand such that readers know what they are going to get when they enter the pub.

For example, I have put up my "more intense" TDG articles under this pub. My hopes are when some people are ready to consider my ideas more seriously, most of my concept will be here.

Pubs also provide the reader with exposure to other writers.

Likewise, direct following is another tool for readers to find the articles they are looking for. But not so good for finding other writers.

People make their own choices. The more options, the better. But the goal is to find articles that a reader wants to read.

These days, my Medium feed is filled with writers I don't know. They are competent writers, but not inspiring for me. Maybe 10% of my feed is from writers or pubs I am currently following.
