I think the Medium algorithms do give an advantage to certain writers, who generate the articles Medium believes people want to read. We like our celebrities.

Much of what shows up on my feed makes little sense to me. About 3/4 of my feed items are from writers I have not read before--or don't want to read again.

I have always sensed that that there are more writers than readers here. So the supply/demand curve is not going to be favorable for most of us.

My main topic--building an alternative democracy--is not popular on Medium or other internet places. I'm not sure moving to another platform is going to help my cause.
