I think this incident was within the realms of a future reality to many of us back in 2016. And there are still 12 more days to go. This movement is not going to die on January 20--and there are at least 100,000 Americans willing to die for this cause.
Between 1986 and 1992, I was an active volunteer in a Canadian political party. I eventually figured out that life in polticial parties--even a nice Canadian party--is dysfunctional. I could see the dysfunction should escalate with the passage of decades.
But I invented another system of democratic governance to alleviate those ills. I kept my ideas to myself as I am not someone of stature. I had a 12-year disability that affected my ability to earn a living and be an active part of civil society. Today I belong to the lower middle class: our democratic job is just to vote every few years. .
But no one of stature really seemed to understand the disease within western democracy. So no one really knew how to fix it. So it 1997, I started putting pen to paper.
It's been 24 years! Six different attempts to present my idea to the world. No one seems to be interested in this new idea. But I'm a nobody, so my perspectives do not count. .
All the "wise" people in the past 24 years have taken us to January 7, 2021 on Capitol Hill. More drama is likely. More intense drama is likely.
Maybe it's time to listen to a nobody like me?
