I think you hit the nail right on the head. Ms. Martinchek shows no sign of having ever worked in politics, thus she has no understanding of the complexities of the process.

With 5.2 followers and almost daily rants, she is probably one of the bigger Medium earners.

I have also chastised several Medium contributors about their efforts to dislodge Mr. Trump. If they join a local D campaign office and do some canvassing, they could bring in 100 votes in an anti-Trump way. Much more effective use of their time than writing/reading another anti-Trump article in this echo chamber.
