I took a look at two John Henry articles. He's taking some angles I haven't heard before. But until he can post every day or second day, he won't be getting much traction on Medium. Probably deserving of more attention, but will the time and effort be worth it for his Medium paycheck?

As for the "plagerist," I would say not. I've seen a few too many popular writers milk the same story in different ways--especially if the first version is a hit. I think it's a case of "I need to post somethnig every day. Do I spend four writing an original article or one hour changing the window dressing on a previous article?" Hmmmm

I've read a few comments regarding this writer as being a great writer: she tells a good ten-minute story but she is not great. I think half her followers are Medium writers who wonder how to emulate her and turn $500 a month into $5000. Sort of like writing a book on how to get rich and selling it to people want to be rich and book says to write a book on how to get rich. Take away the emulators and this writer's popularity drops. But good on her for taking advantage of the situation as it unfolded.
